Creating Black Star: Finding the Perfect Black Star Packaging
on 23.6.09I really love combinations like pink and black and fun accessories like stars and studs. And so this is what you will see in my perfume bottle. The studded ring you see on the bottle is actually a removable ring which you can wear or hang around a necklace. The box was inspired by my studded bracelets and belts. Creating Black Star: Behind-the-Scenes of My First Fragrance
on 17.6.09Creating this fragrance was a lot of fun. I really wanted it to capture who I am and I hope it encourages girls everywhere to be their own stars. We started on this project about 2 years ago. To be honest, I never imagined that it would take so long to develop.
It has been a very different experience from designing my clothing line, Abbey Dawn or from writing and recording a record. Black Star is all about being edgy and feminine. We worked with really cool and different ingredients. We found a way to work some dark chocolate, black plum and pink Hibiscus into the fragrance.
